UpNext ("we," "us," or "our") provides a home maintenance tracking mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information We Collect
Account information: when you create an account, we collect your email address, a username you choose, and a password. Your password is handled by Firebase Authentication — we never see or store it in plain text. Content you provide: information you enter about your home and belongings, including asset names and categories (e.g. "Truck," "HVAC System"), maintenance tasks, due dates, frequencies, costs, notes, and completion history. Push notification token: if you enable notifications, we store a device-specific token used solely to deliver maintenance reminders to your device. We do not collect your location, access your camera or photo library, or access your contacts.
How We Use Your Information
To operate your account and sync your data across your devices. To send maintenance reminder notifications you've opted into. To provide customer support when you contact us. We do not sell your information. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Where Your Data Is Stored
Your account and content data are stored using Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and Cloud Messaging), which acts as our data processor. Firebase's own privacy practices are described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at [email protected].
Children's Privacy
UpNext is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date when we do.
